The prestigious and fashionable Boodles Boxing Ball was held this year at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Saturday, September 21, 2013. The ball was well attended by Royals including Prince Harry, Princess Eugenie, and Princess Beatrice as well as Zara Phillips, Cressida Bonas, and Pippa Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister.
The 30-year-old Pippa Middleton wore a floor-length gown with a bright tangerine skirt and black halter neck top. The dress was made by designer Catherine Deane. She accessorized her ensemble with a black clutch purse and black peep-toe shoes. Her brunette hair was styled in graceful loose curls. Pippa Middleton was all smiles as she entered the Grosvenor House Hotel with her stockbroker beau Nico Jackson. The couple was holding hands upon their entrance. 35-year-old Jackson looked debonair in a black velvet jacket, bow tie, and black suit. Middleton and Jackson are rumored to be engaged.
In other engagement rumors, 25-year-old Princess Beatrice attended the ball with her boyfriend, 31-year-old Dave Clark, a Virgin Galactic businessman. Princess Beatrice has kept her activities low-key since rumors began to surface that the pair were engaged. Princess Beatrice wore a cream chiffon dress with platform heels and topped the ensemble with a sequined cropped jacket.
Although she has been keeping a low profile as of late, Princess Beatrice did visit the Royal Hospital for Sick Children on September 19th, 2013, making it her first official appearance since July when she became the official Royal Patron of The Sick Kids Friends Foundation. During her visit, she met with the young inpatients and their parents as well as staff of the hospital. Additionally, she met with trustees of the charity that supports the hospital. Princess Beatrice supports several charities and foundations with her patronage, many of which have an emphasis on the cause of improving children’s health.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, attended the Boodles Boxing Ball on two occasions before wedding Prince William. The first time she wore a revealing pink gown and the second time a low-cut sky blue number. All eyes were on the future Duchess of Cambridge when she attended the ball.
