Kate Middleton was unable to attend the wedding of close friends Lady Laura Marsham and James Meade held at St. Nicholas Parish Church in Gayton. James Meade is the son of Olympic three-day eventer Richard Meade while Lady Laura is the daughter of the Earl of Romney. The couple issuch close friends of William and Kate that Meade even gave a speech at the Royal Wedding back in April of 2011.
Prince William looked dashing in his dark jacket with tails and deep gray pinstriped trousers. He complemented his stylish ensemble with a white rose in his suit pocket and a red tie. Prince William served as an usher for the event. Prince Harry arrived later wearing a cream waistcoat and pale blue tie under a long jacket. Also in attendance was Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, garbed in a fitted teal dress with matching hat and a clutch purse.
While the Duchess of Cambridge found it necessary to stay home and care for her infant son, Prince George, on the occasion of the wedding, the Duke and Duchess did leave their son in the care of a nanny for their first evening out since Prince George’s birth. The couple attended the Tusk Conservation Awards on the evening of September 12th, 2013. Kate looked gorgeous in a silver floor-length sequined gown custom-made for her by Jenny Packham
