The brothers went to a brokerage company’s trading floor to watch and aid employees with phone calls after first attending a British Summer themed party in London at Canary Wharf. The revenue of the BGC partner’s day will go to charities included those of which the Princes are patrons.

Prince William is a patron of the Skillforce charity and Prince Harry is a patron of the Wellchild charity. The BGC partner’s day is held annually to remember and honor 658 of the company’s employees who perished during the attacks of September 11th, 2001. Later in the day of September 11th, 2013, Prince Harry attended the Wellchild awards at the Dorchester Hotel and presented an award for “most inspirational child” along with giving a speech at the end of the evening. Prince Harry has been the patron of Wellchild since 2007 and helps the charity in ensuring that sick children receive high quality of care. The next day, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went to the inaugural Tusk Conservation Awards in Kate Middleton’s first public appearance since the birth of her son, Prince George, in late July of 2013. Prince William gave a speech at the Tusk Conservation Awards and joked about how the couple might peek at their cell phones during the event to make sure their infant son was fine at home.
